What is the Functional Rhinoplasty Treatment Like?
The functional rhinoplasty treatment is a surgical procedure that is typically performed with general anesthesia. The first step of treatment, after anesthesia is administered, is to create incisions in the nose. In many cases, the only incisions required are placed on the inside of the nostrils. This means that there is no risk of visible scarring with the functional rhinoplasty procedure.
Once incisions are made, Dr. Vadapalli will manipulate and/or remove nasal bone and cartilage to correct the alignment of the nose. During this process, he will take special care to position the nose in a way that will encourage easy air flow through the nostrils.
