What is the Ear Tube Surgery Treatment Like?
Ear tube surgery is usually performed with general anesthesia to ensure a patient’s comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Once anesthesia is administered, Dr. Vadapalli will make a small incision in the eardrum. If the patient is currently experiencing a buildup of fluids, these fluids will be drained out prior to the insertion of the ear tubes. Once complete, the ear tubes will be inserted into the small incision made in the eardrums. This procedure is typically completed in less than an hour.
What is the Ear Tube Surgery Recovery Like?
After an ear tube surgery, the recovery period is relatively insignificant. Your child may experience some minor soreness or sensitivity, but these effects tend to fade within a few days.
